The Keiser softball team rallied but were unable to overcome a tough start against (RV) St. Thomas in game one of a three game series. The Seahawks are now 29-8, 7-3 on the season.

- Lizzy Small got the start and struck out two batters. (95 pitches)

The Seahawks clawed their way out of a 4-0 deficit, but ultimately left the tying run stranded on base.

- The Bobcats plated the first run of the game with a double.

- St. Thomas got another runner home on a fielder's choice.

- The Bobcats stretched their lead to four with a triple and an RBI groundout.
Keiser 3, STU 4
- The Seahawks continued to fight, and were able to get pinch runner Tessa DiPietra home with an RBI groundout from Lacee Travens.
- Molly Reid hit a single to left field that drove home Abby Arend and Genesis Iglesias to cut the Bobcat lead down to one.
- KU was unable to put any more hits on the board and the tying run was left on first base.

The Seahawks will look to regroup and take the series in a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Miami Gardens, Fla.
