When asked about today's result, Head CoachÂ
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Honestly, the matches were what we expected today. It was a conference championship match against two top-five teams in the country. I thought our girls did a great job early on controlling the tempo of the match and dominating doubles early and at the end of their singles matches."
On facing a top-10 opponent in the Sun Conference Tournament Championship, "Credit to Southeastern. They did a good job of staying in the match, making balls, and seeing if we would finish. I think we got a little sloppy with our play and our focus, and that's what caused a couple of matches to go three sets. The coaches did a great job of working with the girls and the girls were responsive, bought in, and trusted what we were telling them. In the end, that helped us flip everything back the way we needed to to get the 4–0 win. It was definitely a cool sight to see Isa come back from 0-4 down in the third to clinch her last conference championship. The energy at the end of the match was great and the girls were all focused, locked back in, and all of them were ready to clinch if they needed."
On winning your sixth consecutive Sun Conference Tournament Championship, "It is definitely something we're proud of. It certainly doesn't happen by accident. These kids work hard and prepare a day in and day out to be able to execute in the moments like today. It's almost become the norm here to win these trophies as it's a step in the direction that we want to be at the end of the year, but today we will enjoy this moment, and then start preparing for the national tournament in a few weeks."
Keiser head to the 2024 NAIA National Championship Tournament in Mobile, Alabama for the 11th straight season. The Seahawks will get a bye in the first round and open play in the second round on May 15.
