Keiser Softball split a doubleheader this afternoon at Florida Memorial University. The Seahawks are now 31-11, 9-6 on the season.

• Brunella Beteta Vilchez got the start and went all seven innings for the win. (90 pitches)

• Lizzy Small went 3-4 with three RBI.
• Bridget Dunham went 3-4 

Keiser piled up 11 hits and pulled away late for their 31st win of the season.

• The Lions took an early lead with a sacrifice bunt.

• Keiser tied the game with an Ashley Bullock sac-fly and took the lead with a Lizzy Small RBI single.

• The Lions tied the game back up with an RBI single to center field.

• Keiser took a lead it would hold for the remainder of the game with a Lizzy Small RBI single up the middle. 

Keiser 6, FMU 2

• Lizzy Small got another RBI single and scored one more run on an FMU error. 
• Genesis Iglesias added an insurance run for Keiser with an RBI single.

• Alexa Michon pitched the first two innings of the game. (36 pitches)
• Brunella Beteta Vilchez pitched the next four innings. (69 pitches)
• Maggie Miller pitched the final inning. (18 pitches)

• Tes DeBono and Tessa DiPietra hit doubles.
• DiPietra and Genesis Iglesias went 2-3. 

The Seahawks had another strong offensive performance but a late FMU rally pushed the game into extra innings, where the Seahawks came up just short. 


Keiser 3, FMU 0 

• The Seahawks were hot out of the gate and scored runs with a two-RBI single from Genesis Iglesias, and an RBI double from Tes DeBono.

• The Lions answered with a sacrifice fly.

• The Lions added another run with an RBI groundout.

Keiser 5, FMU 2

• KU answered with a Molly Reid 2 RBI single. 

Keiser 6, FMU 2

• The Seahawks got another run home with an RBI single up the middle from Ashley Bullock. 

Keiser 6, FMU 3

• FMU countered with an RBI single, which kickstarted a Florida Memorial scoring run.

• Florida Memorial got a runner home with an RBI double. 

Keiser 6, FMU 6

• The Lions got within one run with a home run to center field and tied the game with an RBI single.

Keiser 7, FMU 6

• Keiser took the lead once again with a sacrifice fly from Tessa DiPietra. 

Keiser 7, FMU 8

• Unfortunately for Keiser, the Lions walked off the game with a 2 RBI single. 

The Seahawks will host Warner for a three-game series next weekend in West Palm Beach, Fla. Senior Day festivities will take place before the first game on April 19.
