No. 3 Keiser men's tennis continues to roll in the regular season, taking down Division I Howard University on Wednesday afternoon in Cocoa, Fla. The Seahawks worked quickly to grab the doubles wins on each court before showing their dominance in singles play to complete the 7-0 sweep.
- No. 6 Alam earned his second 6-0, 6-0 win of the season on court four to put KU up 2-0.
- No. 27 Liljekvist extended the lead with his fastest match of the season on court three, winning 6-2, 6-0.
- The match was clinched on court five where Cervinka took the 6-2, 6-0 win over Dieng.
- Krajcik was victorious in his collegiate debut on court six, taking home a 6-2, 6-1 win.
- No. 5 El Mesbahi would wrap up his match on court one with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
- Yassir Kilani would hit a road bump in the second set before taking down Michael Major, 6-2, 7-5.
"Men played well today, we got off to a good start in doubles," said Head Coach
Robert McAdoo. "In singles, everyone handled their business. But there is no time to be satisfied. We have a quick turnaround and play another D-I opponent tomorrow. We are just trying to get better everyday!"
Keiser will be back in action tomorrow in Orlando, Fla., taking on Saint Joseph's at the USTA Tennis Campus. First serve is currently set for 12:00 p.m.
