No. 3 Keiser men's tennis ended their Division II stretch of matches with a win over Lynn on Tuesday afternoon. The Seahawks took the doubles point on courts one and three with 6-3 wins on each. In singles, courts two and four picked up wins before Soufiane El Mesbahi won the longest match of the day to clinch the match.

  • Keiser got off to a strong start in doubles play with Shaheed Alam and Simone Boscatto defeating Gabriele Felline and Aymen Alimoussa 6-3 on court three.
  • Shortly after, Soufiane El Mesbahi and Didrik Liljekvist bested Haktan Garayev and Yaaron Guberman 6-3 on court one to take the doubles point.
  • Court three was 4-4 when the point was decided.

  • Lynn tied the match on court three with a 6-3, 6-3 win for Guberman over Adrej Krajcik.
  • Yassir Kilani rallied from down a set, taking the final two sets on court two to beat Alimoussa 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
  • Petr Cervinka wasted no time after waiting for a court, winning 6-2, 6-0 on court four to make it 3-1 KU.
  • Down 0-4 in the third set, No. 5 El Mesbahi fought to the clinch, defeating Felline, 6-7(5), 6-2, 7-5.
  • Keiser was leading on courts five and six when the match was clinched.

Coach's Corner

"The young men responded well after taking our first defeat," said Head Coach Robert McAdoo. "We still have some issues that need to be addressed for us to reach our ultimate goal of winning a national championship. So we shall keep working and enjoying the process."
