No. 3 Keiser men's tennis suffered their first setback of the season in a neutral site match in Cocoa, Fla. against the top-ranked Division II team, UIndy, 6-1. The Greyhounds secured the doubles point on courts one and two before taking five of the six singles courts including three courts that needed third sets.

  • The top-ranked Division II player in Zeuch bested No. 5 El Mesbahi on court one 6-2, 6-4.
  • UIndy took a commanding 3-0 lead on court three with Momo Andre defeating Liljekvist 6-4, 6-2.
  • The Greyhounds would clinch the match on court two with DII, No. 69 Picaud besting Kilani, 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-4.
  • Keiser would get its lone point of the day on court four where No. 10 Alam defeated Simeonov 2-6, 7-6(9), 7-6(4).
  • UIndy would wrap up the match on courts five and six with third-set super tiebreak wins on each.

Coach's Corner

"Tough match today," said Head Coach Robert McAdoo. "My men came up short. Indianapolis outplayed us in the moments that mattered most. It also looked like they were in better overall physical condition than we were. We will have to keep working to improve on our weaknesses."
