Coach's Corner

When asked about the last-minute change to the schedule, Head Coach Daniel Finn had this to say, "I like to think we're always ready to play. Obviously, it was a last-minute adjustment that we added to the schedule, but anytime you have the opportunity to go out and compete it's much better than just practicing. The adage of looking for a fight is something we try to practice and preach so it was a great opportunity for us to go out and prove that today.

On facing a team in the same city, "Obviously, there's always bragging rights when you compete against the crosstown school. They have a good program and I have respect for Coach Murray, but I know the girls definitely wanted to come out and prove a point today. That said, there's still a lot that we have to work on. Today we took some steps in the right direction, but there is still a lot of room to grow to get to where we want to be."

Up Next

Keiser will have another Division II opponent on deck when they travel to St. Augustine, Fla. to take on No. 4 Flagler on February 16.
