Cheer and Dance Completes Two-Day Battle in the Big Easy

The Keiser cheer and dance team completed its first competition of the 2024 season in the Battle in the Big Easy February 1-2 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Hosted by Xavier (La.) the Battle in the Big Easy featured 10 cheer teams (Keiser, XULA, Florida Memorial, Langston, Loyola [N.O.], Missouri Baptist, Mobile, Our Lady of the Lake, Simpson (Calif.), William Baptist) and six dance teams (Keiser, Cumberlands [Ky.], Ave Maria, Loyola [N.O.], Missouri Baptist, Our Lady of the Lakes).

"I am so proud of these student-athletes," Head Coach Sonni Bennett said. "They have competed eight times in less than 48 hours. This is the first time the program has ever done this before and that is a WIN in my book. We are inspired after a weekend of firsts and ready to get back to West Palm to improve."
