Keiser men's basketball fell in their final home game of the season on Saturday evening, dropping the senior day matchup to Florida Memorial, 88-77. Calvin Sirmans led all players with 25 points on the evening. Justin Nichelson finished with 21 points and eight rebounds while Vincent Miszkiewicz secured double-double number 27 of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

The Seahawks will have one more home game on Tuesday, playing either Webber International or Southeastern at the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. at 7:30 p.m.

First Half
Florida Memorial 35, Keiser 34
  • The Lions came out of the gate with an 11-2 lead with 16:19 left in the half. 
  • Clavin Sirmans made it a five-point game with a 3-pointer at the 11:50 mark (16-11).
  • a 9-2 run by the Seahawks tied the game at 20-20 (7:46) as Jonathan Pail made his second basket of the game off an assist by Srimans.
  • A 3-pointer by Justin Nichelson gave the Seahawks their first lead of the game, 23-20 (7:28).
  • Latavious Mitchell regained the lead for the Lions with a made layup at the 4:51 mark (26-25).
  • Vincent Miszkiewicz tied the game again for the Seahawks with a 3-pointer with 3:04 left in the half (28-28).
  • FMU held a slight 7-6 edge in scoring in the final three minutes of the half as the Lions led by one. 

Second Half
Florida Memorial 88, Keiser 77
  • Paul gave the Seahawks a 38-35 lead with his third basket of the game (18:58).
  • A 10-0 run by the Lions gave FMU a 45-38 lead with 16:08 left in the game.
  • Nichelson made it a one-possession game with a layup at the 15:40 mark (45-42).
  • The Lions went on an 8-2 run as they took a nine-point lead (53-44) with 13:11 remaining in the contest.
  • The Seahawks responded with an 8-0 run as they cut the Lions lead to one, 53-52 (10:32).
  • Sirmans made a pair of free throws with 2:25 on the game clock to pull Keiser within three (74-71).
  • FMU's Derrius Ward capped off a 6-2 run as the Lions led, 82-75 with 42 seconds left.
  • The Lions closed out the game on a 6-0 run.
