Softball Defeats NCF In Road Doubleheader

Keiser Softball took down the New College of Florida this afternoon in a road doubleheader. The Seahawks won the first game 8-0 via run-rule, and the second game 6-3 thanks to a big third inning.

  • The Mighty Banyans had a chance to extend the game, but a runner was left stranded and Keiser got the mercy rule.

  • Molly Reid followed with a double, and was then scored by an RBI single from Travens.
  • Lanie Macicek got her first RBI as a Seahawk with a single that got Travens home. 
  • Macicek was then brought home with an RBI double from Ashley Bullock

  • The Mighty Banyans got a runner home with an RBI single, but were unable to tie the game and Keiser got the doubleheader sweep.
