Keiser Softball went 1-1 against Lynn University (NCAA DII) this afternoon. The Seahawks were victorious in game one, and dropped game two on a late rally from the Fighting Knights.

Pitchers of Record: W: Small (2-1) L: Rego (0-1)
- Lizzy Small went the distance, allowing only one run through seven innings with four strikeouts. (96 pitches)

Keiser used a big sixth inning to pull ahead of the Fighting Knights.

- The Fighting Knights scored the first run of the day with an RBI single.
Keiser 1, Lynn 1
- With runners on the corners, the Seahawks pulled off a nifty double steal to get Genesis Iglesias across home plate.
Keiser 6, Lynn 1
- After the Seahawks loaded the bases with two walks and an error, Alex Perez brought two runners home with an RBI single to right center.
- Back to back walks brought in another KU run.
- Ashley Bullock was able to reach on a fielders choice, and the last run of the game crossed the plate on a Fighting Knight throwing error.
Keiser 6, Lynn 1
- The Seahawks closed out the game by retiring the Fighting Knights in order.

Pitchers of Record: W: Prickett (2-2), L; Beteta-Vilchez (2-1)
- Brunella Beteta Vilchez struck out three batters, but was ultimately on the hook for the loss after giving up her first earned runs of the year. (77 pitches)
- Alexa Michon pitched the final inning in relief. (8 pitches).
- Macy Schaaf went 2-4 with one RBI.
- Molly Reid had an identical stat line as Schaaf.
- Tes DeBono picked up two hits.
- Beteta-Vilchez collected two hits in addition to her pitching efforts.
- The Seahawks led for most of the contest, but costly late errors allowed the Fighting Knights to rally and take the game.

- Miller picked up her second RBI of the day with a single to left field that allowed Beteta-Vilchez to score.
- Macy Schaaf brought Miller home with another single to left field.

- Lynn got on the board with an RBI single to left field.

- The Fighting Knights got back into the game with a two-run home run to left field.

- With one out on the board, Lynn was able to load the bases due to a walk, a critical error by the Seahawk infield, and a single.
- A Fighting Knight was hit by a pitch to bring in a run.
- Lynn got a pinch hit RBI single to tie the game, and two more runs came in on a throwing error to give the Fighting Knights the lead.
Keiser 5, Lynn 7
- KU had a final chance to tie or take the lead, and were able to get runners on base with singles from Molly Reid and Alex Perez.
- Unfortunately for Keiser, the tying run was left stranded on base when the game ended on a groundout.

The Seahawks will host a doubleheader versus Trinity Baptist College this Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
