Offense Powers Men's Lacrosse to Victory at Point

Keiser men's lacrosse won their third game in three days this afternoon when they took down Point University. The Seahawks flew to victory thanks to a dominant scoring performance that saw three different KU attackers score 3+ goals. 

First Quarter
Keiser 3, Point 2 
  • Kegan Hufford got the first goal of the day one minute into the game.
  • The Skyhawks answered with a goal seven minutes later. 
  • Point took the lead with 5:36 on the clock. 
  • KU tied the game one minute later when AJ Badik and JP Prather linked up for a goal.
  • Badik scored without an assist two minutes after that to give the Seahawks a lead they would hold for the remainder of the game.
Second Quarter
Keiser 11, Point 3
  • 45 seconds into the quarter, Hufford scored again. 
  • With 12:27 on the clock, JP Prather scored with an assist from Vincent Cerasuolo
  • The 'Hawks went on a scoring run from there, with goals scored by Braeden Niemy (x2), Chris Rayburn, and Marek Albiero in a four minute span. 
  • With 4:17 showing, Niemy scored his third goal of the game with a James MacGilvray assist. 
  • Badik scored the last KU goal of the half unassisted with 2:47 on the board. 
  • The Skyhawks got a goal from Jeff Knapp with 1:15 remaining in the period. 
Third Quarter
Keiser 15, Point 10
  • Chris Rayburn decisively won the opening faceoff of the half, and scored unassisted just nine seconds into the half.
  • Two minutes later, Point scored another goal. 
  • Between 9:34 and 7:23, the Skyhawks scored three goals. 
  • Prather completed a hat trick unassisted with 6:14 on the clock. 
  • 90 seconds after that, Kegan Hufford scored his third goal of the day with a Badik assist.
  • Point scored three goals between 2:08 and :50. 
  • Hufford scored his fourth goal of the game with just 0:01 left in the quarter. 
Fourth Quarter
Keiser 17, Point 11
  • Ryan Rundle got his first goal of the day with 9:11 left in the game.
  • The Skyhawks got their last goal of the day with 3:00 remaining in the game. 
  • Matt Sheehy linked up with Vincent Cerasuolo for the game's last goal with 44 seconds on the clock.

  • KU forced 10 Point turnovers.  
  • Chris Rayburn went 19-29 on faceoffs.
