No. 2 Keiser women's soccer fell short of their ultimate goal of an NAIA National Championship on Monday afternoon in Pensacola, Florida, falling to Sun Conference foes, SCAD Savannah, 4-1. The Bees scored three goals in the opening half and held the Seahawks scoreless. Delfina Lombardi would finally put Keiser on the board in the 79th minute, but a late goal from SCAD would seal the game.

After the game, Georgia Little, Julia Forslund, Alicia Rey, and Maria Vilhena were named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team.

How it Happened
  • SCAD was on the front foot early and in the third minute, a cross from Sydney Chura would find Abigail Siddall for the game's first goal
  • In the 16th minute, Chura fired a shot from outside the box, but Maude Rouanet was there for the save. Siddall followed with a shot that went off the hands of the Keiser keeper and into the net
  • Keiser would push forward and get three consecutive shots off, but all would stray off target
  • In the 37th minute, Chura would send a cross in from the corner to the head of Lois Beer, whose shot would just land inside the goal for the Bees
  • The Seahawks had chances early in the second half with Ramona Kannady's effort saved before a cross from Georgia Little went across the face of goal, but Olivia Pousette's effort would slice wide
  • Maria Vilhena had a good look in the 64th minute, but her shot from just past the penalty spot would miss wide. The ensuing corner from Alicia Rey would find the head of Iðunn Rán Gunnarsdóttir, but her shot would go high
  • The Seahawks would finally break through in the 79th minute as Delfina Lombardi would rip a shot from the top of the box into the net and give Keiser some momentum down 3-1
  • SCAD had a quick counterattack after the goal, but Mia Gomez would hit the crossbar, and the follow-up from Churra would be saved by Rouanet
  • With just under six minutes left, Olivia Pousette nearly scored on a loose ball in the box, but her shot on the open net would be blocked by a defensive slide at the last moment
  • SCAD would get the final goal of the game in the 89th minute, taking advantage of the Seahawks defense pushing forward to leave Chura with a breakaway chance that she would convert
