(rv) Seahawks Volleyball Falls to New College in Regular Season Finale

The (RV) Keiser volleyball team fell to the Mighty Banyans of New College this afternoon in their regular season finale at the Student Life Center. This was only the third time this season the Seahawks have been swept, and the first sweep at home since August 19th. An afternoon filled with errors proved costly, as the Seahawks hit just .089.

Set 1 (NCF, 18-25):

  • Keiser started strong with a 2-0 lead, with kills from Mackenzie Pryor and Aby Tibesar
  • A Seahawks error gave the Mighty Banyans their first point
  • A series of kills by New College put the Mighty Banyans ahead 9-4, prompting a Seahawks timeout
  • The Mighty Banyans extended their lead by adding five more points
  • A service error from New College awarded the Seahawks a point
  • The Seahawks went on a four-point run, narrowing the gap to five points, aided by two kills from Frederica Silva
  • A Keiser error and a final kill from New College clinched the first set for the Mighty Banyans
