(rv) Men's Basketball Gets Early Test with No. 19 Baker on Friday

Keiser men's basketball will welcome a top-20 opponent to West Palm Beach for the fifth time in four years on Friday when No. 19 Baker comes to town. Tipoff from the Student Life Center is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

  • The Seahawks moved to 15-4 in season openers and have started each of the last four years with a win
  • Vincent Miszkiewicz led the way for Keiser with his first double-double of 2024-25, tallying a team-best 16 points and 11 rebounds, his 28th double-double of his Keiser career
  • Just behind him was Calvin Sirmans who notched 14 points while leading the team with seven assists
  • Jonathan Paul also made an impact on the game with seven points and nine rebounds
  • Of the newcomers, Tyreon Payne led the way with nine points and seven boards to go along with three steals
  • Jackson Kennedy also impressed with eight points and seven rebounds off the bench in just 11 minutes of play time
  • As a team, Keiser set a new program-best with 44 defensive rebounds, which topped the 43 rebounds against Johnson and Wales on February 10, 2018
  • Overall, the Seahawks recorded 64 total boards, which is the second-most in program history
  • Keiser outrebounded Florida National by 33, which is the most since December 16, 2016 when the Seahawks outrebounded Queen City, 61-19
  • Baker comes to West Palm Beach after a 2-0 start to their season with wins over Ottawa and Saint Mary
  • The Wildcats are coming off a 2023-24 season that saw them earn their first win in program history in the NAIA National Championship Tournament
  • Noah Rigatuso had 27 points in that game and returns as their leading scorer, averaging 23 points per contest through his first two games of the season
  • The do-it-all senior also leads the team in rebounding, averaging 11.5 per game while shooting nearly 60 percent from the floor
