The Keiser women's basketball team secured their second victory of the season with a dominant 94-38 win over the Trinity Baptist Eagles at home. The Seahawks cruised to a 56-point victory, led by graduate transfer
Jade Simpson, who posted 20 points and 13 rebounds for her first double-double in a Keiser uniform. She was supported by four other Seahawks who each scored 10 or more points. All 13 players on the Seahawks roster made an appearance tonight, while 11 different players recorded points in tonight's lopsided win.
The Seahawks held the Eagles scoreless all the way up to 2:16 left in the first with a jumper from
Jasmyn Hale for the 13-0 lead.
Trinity Baptist 2, Keiser 19
- Senior guard Mimmi Hahne opened the scoring for the Seahawks with a layup off a pass from Jasmyn Hale just 16 seconds into the game
- At 6:47, Avrie Schmidt knocked down a three-pointer to give Keiser a 7-0 lead
- Elliana Schaefer recorded her first bucket of the game with a layup at 4:42
- Keiser extended their lead to 11-0 with a layup from Amalia Vamvakitis
