No. 1 Football Host UPike in Second Round of the NAIA Football Championship Series

The No. 1-ranked Keiser Seahawks host the second round of the NAIA Football Championship Series versus the Pikeville (Ky.) Bears on Saturday, November 30. Kickoff from the Keiser Football Field is set for 1:00PM (ET).

The game will be broadcast on the Keiser Sports Network and the Sun Digital Network. Fans can also follow the action on ESPN West Palm 106.3 FM. Cyrus Wittig will call the action.

  • Saturday will mark the second meeting all-time between the two schools
  • Saturday will also mark the first meeting between the Seahawks and Bears in West Palm Beach, Florida
  • The last meeting between the two teams resulted in a 24-17 (OT) win for the Seahawks on August 23, 2018, in Pikeville, Kentucky
  • It was the Seahawk's inaugural game and was first win in program history
  • The Seahawks traveled 15 hours by bus to Pikeville, Kentucky for their inaugural game and needed more than just regulation, winning in overtime, 24-17
  • In that game, Sage Chen-Young sealed the inaugural game with an overtime interception, lifting Keiser to the program's first victory
  • Marques Burgess rushed for 97 yards on 22 carries with two rushing touchdowns
  • Quarterback Eli Mathews threw for 149 yards on 18-of-30 passing with one touchdown
  • Place kicker Logan Robinson scored the first points in program history with a 32-yard field goal in the third quarter (9:59)

  • The Seahawks enter Saturday with a 15-3 record all-time during the month of November
  • The Seahawks are a perfect 47-0 when scoring 30-or-more points in a game

  • With the win over the Gyrenes, the Seahawks remain the only undefeated Florida team remaining this season (including all levels of NCAA)
