The Keiser volleyball team fell to Southeastern in the SUN Semifinals hosted by St. Thomas this evening. The Seahawks dropped the match in three straight sets: 17-25, 20-25, 23-25. SUN Player of the Year Mackenzie Pryor led the team with 17 kills and a .250 hitting percentage. Supporting her, SUN Freshman of the Year Emma Friese contributed eight kills while hitting .211.

Set 1 (SEU, 17-25)

• Set one began tied at 2-2 after two errors from Southeastern
• A service ace by the Fire gave Southeastern a 7-4 lead
• Keiser responded with a three-point run to tie the set at 9-9, highlighted by a block assist from Mackenzie Pryor and Isabella Steffel.
• Southeastern regained momentum with a second service ace, pulling ahead 13-9
• Back-to-back kills by Mackenzie Pryor brought the Seahawks within two points
• The Fire extended their lead with a four-point run, including another service ace
• Kills from Emma Friese, Mackenzie Pryor, and Frederica Silva narrowed the deficit
• A block by the Fire ultimately closed out set one

Set 2 (SEU, 20-25)

• A service error by the Fire put the Seahawks on the board early
• Two kills from Southeastern left Keiser trailing by one
• Costly attack errors by the Seahawks allowed the Fire to extend their lead
• Two kills from Mackenzie Pryor brought the Seahawks within three points
• Frederica Silva recorded a service ace to add a Keiser point
• The Fire closed the set with a kill, taking a 2-0 lead

Set 3 (SEU, 23-25)

• A block by Mackenzie Pryor and Aby Tibesar tied the set at 3-3
• A kill from Tibesar brought the Seahawks within one
• The Fire went on a five-point run, extending their lead to 15-7
• Keiser answered with a four-point run, narrowing the deficit to four
• Faith Marquis delivered a service ace to keep the momentum
• A kill by Emma Friese tied the set at 20-20
• Two Seahawk errors gave the Fire a 22-20 advantage
• An attack error from Southeastern put a point on the board for the Seahawks, trailing by one
• A kill by the Fire sealed the victory, securing the win for Southeastern

• The Seahawks ended the match with 36 kills, hitting .136 overall.
• Keiser recorded four service aces during the match.
• Mackenzie Pryor led the team with 17 kills, hitting .250
• Pryor recorded her 21st double-double of the season.
