No. 2 Keiser women's soccer came up short in the Sun Conference Tournament Championship against No. 13 SCAD on Thursday night in Hardeeville, S.C., losing 5-2. SCAD scored the opening goal before the Seahawks countered back with one of their own courtesy of an
Olivia Pousette header. The Bees would take control of the game on the ensuing possession, scoring just one minute later. By halftime, SCAD had built up an insurmountable 5-1 lead.
Alicia Rey would score a goal from the penalty spot to cut into the lead, but the crossbar would make saves for the Bees and keep Keiser from scoring again.

NAIA Soccer Selection Show on Saturday at 2:00 PM to see where they will end up in the NAIA National Tournament.
- Keiser took control of possession early in the contest, but a long ball from Lucabella Ralph found Sydney Chura in the box for the Bees who made it 1-0 in the third minute
- The Seahawks regained momentum, attacking with numbers and drawing a foul in the attacking third
- Alicia Rey stepped up and whipped the ball into the box where Olivia Pousette sent the header into the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1
- SCAD would have an immediate answer as a long ball from Saga Bryntesson bounced over the Keiser back line to Chura who netted her second of the contest
- In the 30th minute, SCAD would draw a foul just outside of the box in Keiser territory. Ines Sommer delivered a shot toward the far post that snuck in to make it 3-1
- The Bees would continue to press forward and in the 40th minute, score off a direct corner kick by Sommer
- With just five seconds left in the half, Abigail Siddall sent a last-ditch effort towards net and the ball found its home, giving SCAD a 5-1 lead at the break
- SCAD was quickly on the attack in the second half, sending a shot that ricocheted off the post before being collected by Maude Rouanet
- In the 62nd minute, Rey attacked a loose ball and drew a foul in the SCAD box. Rey stepped up to the spot and scored her third penalty kick of the season to cut the lead to 5-2
- Rey nearly scored again in the 76th minute, but her shot would bounce off the crossbar
- In the 81st minute, she would once again lace a ball towards net, but it would ping off the crossbar and away from danger
- SCAD would hold on for the remainder of the contest to take the win
- Keiser suffers their first setback of the season, falling to 14-1-1 on the year
- The Seahawks are now 23-8-3 all-time in the Sun Conference Tournament and 7-4-3 in the championship game
- Rey continued her scoring streak, moving to six straight games with a goal
- She also tallied her seventh assist of the season on Pousette's third goal of the year
- Thursday was the first time all season that Keiser was outshot by their opponents
- The Seahawks were held without a corner kick for the first time since September 11, 2021
