No. 1 Men's Swimming & Diving

No. 1 Men's Swimming & Diving Loses Battle with Division I Florida Atlantic

No. 1 Keiser University men's swimming & diving team came up short in their dual meet against Division I Florida Atlantic, falling 172 to 128 on Friday evening in Boca Raton, Fla. The Seahawks earned nine wins in the dual with Juan Gonzalez breaking his own record in the 1-Meter Dive and breaking the 3-Meter Dive record.

Keiser will be back on the road on Thursday, October 30 for a dual meet with Rollins College at 12:00 PM in Winter Park, Fla.
 

Meet Notes
  • The head-to-head matchup started with Matheus Queiroz, Noel De Geus, Jake Hutchinson and Angel Margaritov placing first in the 200-Meter Medley Relay with a time of 1:32.00.
  • In the 1000-Yard Freestyle, Alexander Menzel claimed first place with a time of 9:36.82. 
  • Keiser then had Carlos Trinidad place third in the 200-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:43.72
  • Hutchinson claimed a top-finish in the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 49.43
  • De Geus was flying on his first place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 54.87
  • Austin Bryson placed fourth in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:59.79
  • The Seahawks picked up another first-place finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle with Boeckmann, with a time of 20.92.
  • Juan Gonzalez claimed his first-place finish in the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 351.75
  • De Gues claimed another top-3 finish in the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:06.11
  • Soon after, Menzel clocked a third-place finish in the 500-Yard Freestyle, touching at 4:43.06
  • Hutchinson claimed first place in the 100-Yard Butterfly, touching the wall at 48.24, a new personal best 
  • On the 1-meter board, Gonzalez collected first-place once more with a score of 332.78
  • In the final event of the meet, Queiroz, Fuhrmann, Boeckmann and Hutchinson finished the day in first with a time of 3:02.91
