No. 3 Keiser men's tennis continued their hot start, knocking off the Division II defending National Champions Barry 5-2 in Miami Shores, Fla.
- Boscatto rallied from a tough first set to win a tight third-set super tiebreak, 1-6, 6-3, 10-8.Â
- No. 6 Alam would continue the momentum for the Seahawks, winning comfortably on court four, 6-2, 6-2.
- The Buccaneers would get a point back on court five, but Kilani would clinch the match on court two, winning 7-6(4), 6-3.
- Down 3-4 in the second set, No. 27 Liljekvist fought back to force the third set super tiebreak, then fought from behind again to win 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.
- Barry would take the final point of the match on court one with Joao Ferreira outlasting No. 5 El Mesbahi, 4-6, 7-6(2), 10-6.
"Today was about seeing where we are as a team early in the season and the young men passed a tough test," said Head Coach
Robert McAdoo. "We had a couple players step up big time. Simone and Didrik set the tone in doubles and it carried over into their singles. We will keep working!."
The Seahawks will have a break in the schedule before playing Palm Beach Atlantic on February 26 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
