Baseball Completes Sweep of Barons as Keiser Claims a Pair of Wins on Saturday

The Keiser baseball team completed a four-game sweep of the Brewton-Parker Barons, winning both games of Saturday's doubleheader. In Game One, the Seahawks downed BPC, 8-7 (7 innings), while taking Game Two, 18-10 (7 innings). 
 
Keiser finished the day hitting .367 with five home runs and 22 RBI.

  • With the doubleheader win, Keiser moves to 4-0 on the year. 
  • The Seahawks improve to 8-3 all-time versus the Barons.
  • Keiser improves to 8-2 all-time versus BPC at Silvester Field.
  • The Seahawks hit .367 as a team on Saturday and .361 during the four-game sweep.
  • The Keiser pitching staff recorded 16 strikeouts on Saturday.

Seahawk Hurlers
  • Starter Cam Hunter allowed six runs on six hits in 3.0 innings of action.
  • The Seahawks used four hurlers in the game, including Chuck Fishbaugh, who earned his first win of the season out of the pen.
  • Fishbaugh, allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings pitched. 
  • Tanner Goswick claimed his second save of the season, throwing one inning.

  • Seth Lucero had a 2-for-4 performance, scoring two runs and driving in another.
  • Edbarry Guzman with 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored.
  • Simon Grinberg also scored a pair of runs in the contest.

  • Guzman added four more RBI in Game Two, going 2-for-6 from the dish.
  • Ruiz notched three RBI and scored three runs with a 2-for-5 performance from the plate.
  • Grinberg went 2-for-3 with four runs scored and two RBI.
