Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Three of ITA Regionals with Just Seahawks Remaining

Keiser men's tennis has rid the field of any non-Keiser players after day three of the ITA Regionals in Boca Raton, Fla. The men ended the day with a 2-1 record in singles and a 4-0 record in doubles play.

The top seeds on the men's side of the bracket continued to dominate in doubles and singles action with all threats to Keiser now removed. The day began with the continuation of Didrik Liljekvist's match which went the way of Danil Ozernoy in the third set tiebreaker. As for Shaheed Alam and Soufiane El Mesbahi, they cruised through the semifinals and are set to meet in the final on Sunday. In doubles action, Liljekvist and Heber Santos picked up back-to-back 8-4 wins in the quarters and semis to reach the championship match tomorrow. El Mesbahi and Alam eased through their quarterfinal match before fighting to an 8-7(4) tiebreak win over the final non-Keiser opponent.

Coach's Corner
Director of Tennis Daniel Finn said, "I'm proud of the boys efforts today. For the most part, they did a good job of staying focused and executing when they needed to. This tournament is so taxing and grueling that sometimes you are just trying to survive and still be there, and now the boys have the tough test of facing one another with something on the line. It will be nice to see the guys compete against one another tomorrow with something on the line. They practice with each other in sets, but of course it will be different tomorrow when they have a regional title to compete for. Nonetheless, one way or another, a Seahawk will take the singles and doubles titles again."
