Keiser men's tennis opened their fall schedule with good results at the ITA Regionals in Boca Raton, Fla. The men went 6-2 in singles play while going 2-1 in doubles.

Doubles action started the day with Soufiane El Mesbahi and Shaheed Alam taking an 8-2 win, while Didrik Liljekvist and Heber Santos used the tiebreaker, winning 8-7(4). In singles, Santos, Liljekvist, and Christian Foss moved through their first-round matches before the afternoon round began. All five active boys were in action in the afternoon with Alam, El Mesbahi, Liljekvist, and Foss all advancing to the Round of 16 tomorrow. Before the tournament, Yassir Kilani was forced to retire due to an injury.



Director of Tennis Daniel Finn said, "For the most part, the boys did a good job in doing what they needed to do. There were a couple of hiccups but most of the guys found a way to get through and did what they needed to do to get into the next day, which is what this event is about. Survive and advance. The biggest message the boys are going to get this afternoon is just recover, recover, recover. If we want to still be competing on the last day, we're going to have to make sure that we do what we need to do to make sure we are prepared to get after it again tomorrow."
