The Keiser Athletic Department announced the Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month for the month of May on Monday. This month's winners, freshman golfer
Hoi Ki Lau and freshman attacker/midfielder
AJ Badik, have been recognized for their play during the past month.
The Seahawks HHS Athletes of the Month winners will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
Hoi Ki Lau, Fr., Hong Kong
- Named a WGCA First-Team All-American for the first time in her Keiser career.
- Earned NAIA All-America honors (first team).
- Finished tied for fourth at the NAIA Women's Golf Championship, earning all-tournament recognition.
- Recorded 49 par putts and carded four birdies.
- On the year, appeared in 11 events for the Seahawks for a total of 33 rounds.
- Placed in the top-10 seven times during the 2022-23 season, including six top-5 finishes and three tournament wins.
- Registered a season stroke average of 74.48.
- Finished the year ranked No. 2 by GolfStat.
AJ Badik, Fr., Attacker, Orlando, Florida
- Led Keiser to the program's first National Championship.
- Named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
- Also named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team.
- Scored a career-high eight goals in the championship game versus Indiana Tech.
- His eight goals were the most scored by a Seahawk in the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational and were tied for the second-most in KU history (Craig Marentette – Tennessee Wesleyan – 3/11/17; Dylan Sharpe – Webber Int'l – 4/10/21).
- Finished the tournament with 13 goals and three assists for 16 points.
