(rv) Baseball split the day in the Sun Conference tournament to close out the 2023 season. The Seahawks eliminated the No. 2 seed Ave Maria Gyrenes after winning Game Eight, 6-5. Anfernee Fernandez started on the mound for Keiser. He picked up his sixth win of the season. Danny Galvan picked up the second save of the season as he went in to pitch in the top of the eighth to close the game. After advancing, they faced the No. 1 seed Southeastern in the game to determine who would moved on to the championship game. The Seahawks finish their season with a record of 28-23.
Notables.
  • In the first game of the day, the Seahawks held the lead until the third inning when the Gyrenes tied the game, 2-2.
  • Keiser scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead back and maintained it throughout the reminder of the game.
  • The Seahawks eliminated the No. 2 seed Ave Maria.
  • Danny Galvan increased his strikeout total to 85 strikeouts this season, along with 208 strikeouts in his career. 
  • Galvan ended the regular season with an 8-1 record. 
  • The Seahawks end the season with an overall record of 28-23.
  • Alejandro Macario closes out the season with a .409 batting average.
  • Macario lead the Seahawks in multiple categories this season.
  • In the tournament, Macario surpassed Kenny Di Clemente in home runs ending the season with 11.

Seahawk Hurlers
  • Jordan Destefano started on the mound for the Seahawks in Game Nine. Destefano picked up his first start of the season.
  • In the top of the third, Ryan Powers went in to pitch for Destefano. 
  • Brandon Vasquez came out of the bullpen to pitch in the top of the third.
  • With one out in the inning Drew Lang took the mound for Keiser.
  • In the top of the fourth Senior, Nick DeFalle came out of the bullpen. DeFalle pitched three innings.
  • Two-way player Townsend Ellis took the mound in the seventh inning. Ellis faced five batters to close out the inning quickly. 
  • Darian Howard closed the game for the Seahawks.
