The Keiser Athletic Department announced the Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month for the month of April on Wednesday. This month's winners, freshman
Hoi Ki Lau and sophomore
Jakob Stavang Stubhaug, have been recognized for their play during the past month.
The Seahawks HHS Athletes of the Month winners will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
Hoi Ki Lau, Fr., Hong Kong
- Helped the Seahawks win their seventh Sun Conference Tournament title.
- Claimed her third tournament win of the season, shooting even-par.
- Named Sun Conference Golfer of the Year and Sun Conference Freshman of the Year.
- Became the first Seahawks to win both awards in the same season.
- Her individual tournament title was the sixth conference medalist honor in program history.
- Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 29 rounds.
- Named Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Week two times (March 13 & April 3).
- Placed in the top-10 six times during the 2022-23 season, including five top-5 finishes and three tournament wins.
- Registered a season stroke average of 74.45.
- Currently ranked No. 4 by GolfStat.
Jakob Stavang Stubhaug, So., Floroe, Norway
- Claimed two top-5 finishes during the month.
- Named the NAIA SwingU Golfer of the Month (April).
- Named the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week (4/10).
- Claimed his second NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week honor (4/12).
- Won the Roadrunner Classic, shooting a five-under, 211 (71-70-70), for his second medalist honor this season.
- Shot four-under on Par 5s and was one-under on Par 4s in the 66-golfer field.
- Led the Seahawks to the Sun Conference crown, placing tied for second with a one-under, 212 (68-70-74).
- The all-conference selection carded a tournament-tying-best 13 birdies in this year's conference tournament.
- For the month, Stavang Stubhaug has recorded a stroke average of 70.50 with five of the six rounds he played under par.
- Leads the team with two tournament victories while claiming seven top-10 finishes (six in the top five).
- Registered a season stroke average of 71.64.
- Currently ranked No. 9 by GolfStat.
