Coach's Corner
"Honestly, was a really tough match for us to lose today.." said Head Coach, Daniel Finn, "Obviously, if you go into the season wire to wire number one, having beat them earlier in the year, the expectation when we came to the national tournament was the win it. Unfortunately, that didn't happen today. The youth on our team showed a bit today and it put us in a hole during the doubles point that we weren't able to climb out. Credit to Georgia Gwinnett. Their girls stepped up, went for their shots, and in big moments, things fell for them. The biggest takeaway from the match was the doubles point. The match swung on that one point. I feel if we were been able to capture that point things could've been a lot different today. I will say that the effort was there. I can't sit here and tell you one girl didn't fight like hell for this one today. I'm proud of the girl's efforts and thought they gave me everything they had in the tank today to try to win this one. Unfortunately, it just wasn't our day in the big moments early on and the hole became too large to overcome. Looking back on this season, I told the girls when we met post-match that this loss does not define our season. All in all, the girls had one of the best seasons in program history, including an Indoor Team National Championship. I love this group of kids very much"
