History was made on Tuesday as
Noah Curtis became the first Keiser football player to be drafted by a professional team as the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL) selected the 6-foot-6 defensive lineman in the fourth round of the 2023 CFL Draft.
"I am extremely thrilled for Noah," Head Coach
Doug Socha said. "I've known him for a long time and to see his football journey get him into professional football is a testament to his dedication to the sport. He was a big part of our success this past season and is now a trailblazer for our program. I'm very proud of him and can't wait to see what he can do at the next level."
Selected 28
th overall in the 2023 CFL Draft, Curtis appeared in all 14 games for the Seahawks in 2022.
He becomes the third Seahawk to either be drafted or signed by a professional football franchise, joining Victor Alvarez, Jr., and Caleb Walls, who both signed with the Orlando Predators of the National Arena Football League (NAL) in April of 2022.
