Keiser softball was defeated 6-3 in the rubber match of a three-game series at Thomas University (Ga.) this morning. The Seahawks gave up 10 hits while being hurt by two errors, and were unable to get the tying run across the plate in the top of the seventh inning.

- Lizzy Small pitched a complete game, and gave up four earned runs. (84 pitches)

Keiser was unable to overcome 10 Nighthawk hits, and couldn't catch up late while falling to 20-15, 9-6 on the season.

- The Nighthawks tied the game up with an RBI single.

- Thomas kicked off a scoring frenzy in the bottom of the fourth, beginning with an RBI single.
- Just after an RBI single, the Nighthawks hit a 2 RBI single that stretched their lead to five runs.

- After a scoreless sixth, Keiser needed three runs in their final turn at bat.
- Lizzy Small drew a lead off walk, and Molly Reid got on base with a single.
- Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the tying run struck out swinging, and the series went to the Nighthawks.

The Seahawks will host Fort Lauderdale this Wednesday for a doubleheader at Alumni Field. First pitch of game one is set for 12:00 p.m.
