Keiser softball erased a 3-0 deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning to take down No. 16 Southeastern this afternoon. The Seahawks trailed for most of the game but were able to work around the bases late to secure KU's first win over a nationally ranked opponent since March of 2021.

- Lizzy Small pitched a complete game, and struck out two batters. (103 pitches)

Keiser roared to life in the bottom of the seventh inning, and scored four unanswered runs to break a 10-game losing streak to ranked opponents.

- The Fire struck first with an RBI double.
Keiser 0, Southeastern 3
- After six scoreless innings, Southeastern appeared to put the nail in the coffin with an RBI single and an RBI groundout that gave the Fire two insurance runs.
Keiser 4, Southeastern 3
- Despite the score, Keiser went right to work, and Kelsie Merriman drew a walk with one out on the board.
- Molly Reid followed with a single, and suddenly the tying run was at the plate.
- Lizzy Small took a walk on a full count that loaded the bases.
- After a strikeout, Lacee Travens picked up an RBI with a five pitch walk.
- In the following at bat, Tes DeBono delivered a critical two strike single to center field that scored Molly Reid and pinch runner Lana Hampson.
- With the game now tied, Tess McGann drew a walk that loaded the bases for the second time in the inning.
- Macy Schaaf ended the game with a single up the middle that scored pinch runner Lena Wallace to give Keiser the dramatic comeback win.

The Seahawks will conclude the series versus the Fire tomorrow in a doubleheader that will begin at 12:00 p.m.
