The Keiser softball team went 1-1 with Thomas University this afternoon in a doubleheader. The Seahawks won the first game 5-3, and lost the second game with a mirrored score.

Pitchers of Record: W: Small (14-6) L: Elmore (3-3)
- Lizzy Small went the distance, striking out four batters while giving up two earned runs. (119 pitches)

Keiser took a late lead and closed out the game with three unanswered runs.

- Thomas took an early lead with a 2 RBI single.

- Molly Reid tied the game when she slammed a 2 RBI home run over the left field wall.

- Thomas took the lead with an RBI single.

- Lizzy Small and the KU infield were able to retire the side in Thomas's last chance at bat to give Keiser the win.

- Maggie Miller pitched six innings, and struck out one batter. (80 pitches)

Keiser was unable to take advantage of eight hits, and fell 5-3.

- The Nighthawks answered with an RBI double and a Keiser fielding error.

- The Nighthawks added another run with a sacrifice fly.

- A Keiser fielding error allowed two Nighthawk runs to score, and those runs became the winning runs when the Seahawks left the tying run stranded on second base in the top of the seventh.

The Seahawks will play the rubber match versus Thomas tomorrow at 10am.
