The Keiser softball team was defeated this morning by Coastal Georgia, 8-1, in KU's final regular season game of the year. The Seahawks could not overcome an early 4-0 deficit, falling to the No. 21-ranked Mariners on Saturday. With the loss, the Seahawks finish the 2023 regular season with a 23-21 overall record (12-12 SUN) and will enter the upcoming Sun Conference Softball Tournament as the No. 4 seed.

Pitchers of Record: W: Dickerson (19-5) L: Fyles (0-1)
- Addison Fyles got the start, and was on the hook for the loss, allowing four runs on three hits in one inning of action. (36 pitches)
- Faith Fournier pitched three scoreless innings in relief. (43 pitches)
- Kaylie Araujo closed out the game, tossing the final two innings of the contest. (47 pitches)

Four runs by the Mariners in the first two innings of action put the Seahawks in a 4-0 hole. Despite getting on the board in the top of the fourth, Keiser could not pull any closer as CCGA completed the series sweep, 8-1.

- The Mariners took the early lead with two RBI singles.

- Two more RBI singles put CCGA up by four.

- The Mariners went up by six with a homerun to left center.

- The final two Coastal Georgia runs came on an RBI single up the middle, and an RBI groundout.
The Seahawks will play in the Sun Conference Softball Tournament next weekend in Clearwater, Florida..
