The Keiser softball team was defeated this morning by the Warner Royals in the first round of the Sun Conference Softball Tournament.

Pitchers of Record: W: Morton (13-11) L: Small (16-10)
- Lizzy Small started the game, and was on the hook for the loss while striking out four batters. (96 pitches)
- Maggie Miller pitched two innings in relief, and struck out two batters. (22 pitches)

KU held a one-run lead for the first four innings, but Warner scored five runs in the fifth inning and the Seahawks were unable to catch up.

- The Royals took the lead with a 2 RBI single.
- Three more Warner runs scored on an RBI single, and a 2 RBI double.

- The Seahawks answered in the fifth when pinch runner Addison Fyles scored on a Warner error.

- KU had its final chance to tie the game, but the last three Seahawk batters were retired in order.
The Seahawks will play their next game in the Sun Conference Softball Tournament this Friday at 11:30 AM, their opponent is TBD.
