No. 1 Men's Tennis Closes Out Sun Conference Schedule with No. 11 Ave Maria

Hoping to complete another undefeated Sun Conference regular season, No. 1 Keiser men's tennis will welcome No. 11 Ave Maria on Friday afternoon in Boca Raton, Fla. with the first serve set for 2:00 p.m.

About the Seahawks
  • Keiser holds a 16-4 record on the year after defeating two top-15 Division II opponents last week in Lynn and Flagler.
  • The Seahawks will be facing their eighth, ranked NAIA opponent on Friday. KU holds a 7-0 record this season in those matches.
  • Gaston Cantero could join rare company with a win on Friday. Cantero has the opportunity to become the third men's tennis player at Keiser to reach 20 wins in a spring season, joining Luke Simkiss and Arthur Bonnaud.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Should be another good game tomorrow. Ave Maria has a good team and will bring a lot of intensity our way. Our main focus as always will be to come out strong and bring the intensity of our own from the beginning of the match. As it has been all season, doubles will be key for us tomorrow in starting strong and trying to grab the early momentum. It certainly has not been an easy week with the weather interrupting practices, but I think our guys are in a good head space and ready to get after it."
