The Keiser softball went 1-1 in their final day of competition at the Space Coast Classic Spring Games this afternoon. The Seahawks were run-ruled versus Saint Mary (Kan.), and defeated Lourdes University by one run.Â
Keiser Seahawks 0, Saint Mary Spires 9

Kelsie Merriman (3-2)
- Kelsie Merriman pitched four innings, and struck out three batters. (60 pitches)
- Addison Fyles pitched one innings in relief. (20 pitches)
- Lizzy Small hit a double that served as the Seahawk's only extra base hit of the game.Â

Keiser was unable to get production hitting the ball, and the Spires pulled away in the third inning.Â
Keiser 0, Saint Mary 1
- Saint Mary got their first run of the day with an RBI single.Â
Keiser 0, Saint Mary 5
- The Spires went on a scoring run in the bottom of the 3rd that saw Saint Mary collect four runs on four hits.
- Saint Mary got their runs with an RBI single, another RBI single with a Seahawk error, and a passed ball.
Keiser 0, Saint Mary 6
- Another Seahawk error allowed Saint Mary to score their sixth run of the day.
Keiser 0, Saint Mary 9
- After Keiser went three-up, three-down in the top of the fifth, the Spires hit a bases clearing double, and then a single that scored a runner and ended the game 9-0.
Keiser Seahawks 2, Lourdes Gray Wolves 1

- Lizzy Small pitched the full seven innings, and struck out four batters. (95 pitches)
- The Seahawks took the lead in the first inning, and held on for the remainder of the game to bring their season win percentage to .500.

- The Gray Wolves rallied in the sixth inning, and got a run home on an RBI single. The following batter walked, and suddenly Lourdes was in position to take a late lead.
- The KU infield remained focused however, and grounded out the next batter to end the threat.Â
- After KU couldn't add any insurance runs in the top of the inning, Lourdes had one last chance to tie it or take the lead.
- The Keiser defense stood its ground, and the Gray Wolves went down in order to give KU the win.

- Keiser was able to strand eight runners on base in the Lourdes game.
- Lizzy Small struck out 12 batters during the Space Coast Spring Games, and collected 12 hits with seven RBIs.Â
- Macy Schaaf scored seven runs during the Space Coast Spring Games.
- Ashley Bullock hit two doubles and three triples with four RBIs in Keiser's last seven games.

The Seahawks face Warner in Lake Wales, Fla. this Friday for a conference opening game, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday.
