The Keiser softball team won their third and fourth consecutive games today in their third day of the Space Coast Spring Games. The Seahawks (6-6) turned in a dominant victory against Washington Adventist, and pulled away late versus Trinity Christian College.

Keiser Seahawks 8, Washington Adventist 2
Pitchers of Record: W: Small (3-3) L: Hern (0-1)

• Lizzy Small pitched six innings, and struck out four batters. (65 pitches)
• Faith Fournier pitched an inning in relief, and struck out one batter. (21 pitches)

• Caroline Austin hit a double, and so did Kelsie Merriman.
• Molly Reid broke the game open with an RBI triple.
• Macy Schaaf, Tess McGann, and Lizzy Small all stole bases.

Keiser hit well, and kept control of the game from the circle to secure the win.


Keiser 0, Washington Adventist 1

• The Shock got on the board first with an RBI double to left field. 

Keiser 1, Washington Adventist 1

• The Seahawks answered back and tied the game when Ashley Bullock picked up an RBI that scored Macy Schaaf.

Keiser 2, Washington Adventist 1

• KU kept its momentum going with a triple from Molly Reid that scored Kaylie Araujo. 

Keiser 5, Washington Adventist 1

• Kelsie Merriman crushed a 3 RBI double that cleared the bases, and put Keiser up 5-1.

Keiser 8, Washington Adventist 1

• Tess McGann hit a single that scored Molly Reid.
• Tes DeBono hit an RBI single that brought home Alex Perez. 
• A Shock error allowed Tes DeBono to come home.

Keiser 8, Washington Adventist 2

• The Shock had their last opportunity to get back in the game, but were only able to muster one run on an RBI single.

Keiser Seahawks 8, Trinity Christian College Trolls 0
Pitchers of Record: W: Merriman (3-1) L: Jones (2-9)

• Kelsie Merriman tossed a complete game, and struck out a batter without giving up a run. (73 pitches)

• Tess McGann, Tes DeBono, and Lizzy Small all hit doubles.
• Macy Schaaf and Ashley Bullock each smacked triples.
• Madison Manning stole a base.
• Lizzy Small went 4-4 (1.000 BA) with 2 RBIs. 

• The Seahawks navigated through four scoreless innings, and got their bats hot late to get a run-rule victory. 

Keiser 3, TCC 0

• After four innings which saw KU leave five batters stranded on base, Keiser broke through when Tess McGann doubled to left field and brought home Macy Schaaf.
• McGann later crossed home plate when Tes DeBono hit a double to center field.
• Lizzy Small hammered a double to left field and scored pinch runner Lana Hampson. 

Keiser 8, TCC 0

• Up by three, the Seahawks caught fire from behind the plate in their best batting inning of the season so far.
• With the bases loaded, Molly Reid got Kaylie Araujo home on a fielder's choice.
• Macy Schaaf hit a single that allowed Madison Manning to score. 
• Ashley Bullock picked up two RBIs when she tripled to left field. 
• Lizzy Small batted in Ashley Bullock with a single to centerfield.

Keiser 8, TCC 0

• The Trolls had a chance to extend the game, and got two runners on with a single and a Seahawk error, but Keiser was able to get outs on the next three at-bats to close out the game.

Keiser has scored 5+ runs in their last four games, and are undefeated in that span. 


The Seahawks face the University of Saint Mary (Kan.) and Lourdes University tomorrow morning. First pitch of game one is set for 9:00 a.m.
