The Keiser softball team got back in the win column today with victories against Cleary Cougars and the Park (Mo.) Pirates.

- Lizzy Small pitched five innings, and struck out two batters. (77 pitches)

Keiser got off to a quick start, and ended the game in five innings.

- The Cougars scored on a Seahawk error that netted CU their lone run of the game.

- The Cougars stepped up the plate with a chance to extend the game, but went three-up, three-down, and the game ended with a run-rule Keiser victory.

- Kelsie Merriman tossed a complete game, and struck out two batters. (55 pitches)
- The Seahawks capitalized on big hits and three Pirate errors.

- Park got on the board first with an RBI single.

- Park began to climb back into the game in the bottom of the sixth, beginning with an RBI double.
- Two batters later, an RBI single cut Keiser's lead down to two.

- After Keiser couldn't add any insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth, Park had their final chance to extend the game, but went down in order to give Keiser the win.

The Seahawks face Washington Adventist and Trinity Christian College on Monday after a day off. First pitch of game one is set for 2:00 p.m.
