The Keiser softball team got back in the win column today with victories against Cleary Cougars and the Park (Mo.) Pirates.

Keiser Seahawks 9, Cleary Cougars 1
Pitchers of Record: W: Small (2-3) L: Terleckyj (2-3)

• Lizzy Small pitched five innings, and struck out two batters. (77 pitches)

• Lizzy Small hit two doubles, with three RBIs.
• Tes DeBono provided Keiser with it's first home run of the season, a three run bomb.
• Tess McGann stole a base, and scored three runs.
• Lacee Travens collected two sacrifice hits. 

Keiser got off to a quick start, and ended the game in five innings.


Keiser 3, Cleary 0

• Macy Schaaf got a lead-off walk, and Tess McGann reached on an error.
• Tes DeBono smacked a home run that netted her three RBIs, and put Keiser up 3-0 

Keiser 3, Cleary 1

• The Cougars scored on a Seahawk error that netted CU their lone run of the game.

Keiser 6, Cleary 1

• Tes DeBono got her fourth RBI of the day with a single that scored Tess McGann.
• In the next at-bat, Lizzy Small doubled, and scored Molly Reid in the process.
• Kelsie Merriman singled, and brought home Small.

Keiser 9, Cleary 1

• Tess McGann reached first base on an error, and Alex Perez scored in the process.
• Lizzy Small hit her second double of the day, and scored Ashley Bullock and Tess McGann. 

Keiser 9, Cleary 1

• The Cougars stepped up the plate with a chance to extend the game, but went three-up, three-down, and the game ended with a run-rule Keiser victory.

Pitchers of Record: W: Merriman (2-1) L: Rau (0-1)

• Kelsie Merriman tossed a complete game, and struck out two batters. (55 pitches)

• Ashley Bullock hit an RBI triple.
• Molly Reid hit a triple as well.
• Tess McGann stole a base.
• Lacee Travens went 2-2, and collected two RBIs.  

• The Seahawks capitalized on big hits and three Pirate errors. 

Keiser 0, Park 1

• Park got on the board first with an RBI single.

Keiser 1, Park 1

• Macy Schaaf brought Molly Reid home on an RBI single. Reid got on base with a triple.

Keiser 5, Park 1

• The Seahawks built a strong lead in the 5th, starting with an Ashley Bullock triple that scored Macy Schaaf. 
• Bullock later scored on a fielder's choice.
• Lacee Travens later hit a 2 RBI single that scored Lizzy Small and pinch runner Alex Perez. 

Keiser 5, Park 3

• Park began to climb back into the game in the bottom of the sixth, beginning with an RBI double. 
• Two batters later, an RBI single cut Keiser's lead down to two. 

Keiser 5, Park 3

• After Keiser couldn't add any insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth, Park had their final chance to extend the game, but went down in order to give Keiser the win. 

The Seahawks face Washington Adventist and Trinity Christian College on Monday after a day off. First pitch of game one is set for 2:00 p.m.
