The Keiser softball team won their second conference series of the season this afternoon with a powerful victory against Florida Memorial. The Seahawks scored seven unanswered runs in the sixth inning to improve to 16-13, 5-4 on the season.

Pitchers of Record: W: Small (11-6) L: Francis (1-1)

• Lizzy Small pitched another complete game, and struck out four batters. (93 pitches)

• Kelsie Merriman hit an RBI double. 
• Lacee Travens went 3-3 and picked five RBIs.
• Ashley Bullock hit a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the sixth.   

Keiser battled back from an early deficit and piled up 12 hits to win their second Sun Conference series of the season.

• The Lions were ready to swing early on, and took a 2-0 lead on a 2 RBI double.

• KU was able to cut the FMU lead in half with a triple from Lacee Travens that scored Madison Manning.

• In Travens's next at-bat, the senior catcher hit a 2 RBI single that scored Alex Perez and Molly Reid.

• With rain starting to fall on Alumni Field, the Lions tied the game with an RBI single.

• With the game tied and rain continuing to fall, Lacee Travens smashed her second triple of the day down the right field line and brought home Madison Manning and Alex Perez. 
• Two batters later, Ashley Bullock rocked a triple to left field and cleared the bases to bring home Tess McGann, Macy Schaaf, and Lacee Travens. 
• In the next at-bat, Lizzy Small hit an RBI single that scored Bullock. 
• Right after that, Kelsie Merriman hit an RBI double to right center and scored pinch runner Lena Wallace.

• The Lions got a runner on in their last turn at-bat, but Keiser recorded the final out to take the series.

The Seahawks will travel to Babson Park, Fla. this weekend for a three game series versus Webber International. First pitch of game one is set for Friday at 4:00 p.m.
