- Cantero earned his win on court three in dominant fashion with a 6-0, 6-4 win that put KU ahead 3-0.
- No. 10 Alam wasted little time on court two to seal the match for Keiser with a 6-2, 6-2 win.
- The Bobcats would get two points after the match was clinched on courts one and four to break up the shutout.
- No. 8 El Mesbahi closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win on court six.

"The boys did what they had to do today to get the win but it wasn't enough for me," said Head Coach,Â
Daniel Finn, "I knew it wouldn't be easy considering we went in with some injuries and STU creates a hostile environment that's never easy to play in, but we did not play well enough today. I thought that we never really sunk our teeth into the match emotionally and engaged, and that led to things being tougher for the guys today. St Thomas is an extremely underrated and feisty team that will be ranked top-15 soon this year. Of course, I'll take a tough road win, but definitely going to get back to work and make some adjustments ahead of a really tough road match Saturday at Embry-Riddle."
Keiser will look to rest and recover quickly before facing Division II, No. 14 Embry-Riddle on Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla.
