No. 3 Men's Tennis

No. 1 Men's Tennis Opens Conference Play with St. Thomas on Wednesday

The No. 1 ranked Keiser University men's tennis team will begin their conference slate on Wednesday in Miami Gardens, Fla. when they face St. Thomas at 1:00 p.m.
 
About the Seahawks
  • The Seahawks come into Wednesday's game with a 4-2 overall record after defeating Palm Beach Atlantic on February 18, 6-1.
  • Keiser finished at the top of the conference last season with a flawless 6-0 record in the regular season and went on to win their sixth Sun Conference Tournament in a row.
  • Martin Carrizo and Soufiane El Mesbahi became the first two Seahawks this season to reach 10 wins on the year against PBA with both players winning their matches in straight sets.

Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Anticipating this match tomorrow. St. Thomas has a good team and has already proven it with good wins this season. Definitely going to have to bring our a-game ahead of tomorrow, knowing that they will bring a rowdy atmosphere and a competitive environment. We've had a good week of practice ahead and look forward to the opportunity tomorrow."

Last Meeting: The Seahawks defeated the Bobcats 5-2 on March 5, 2022.
Scouting the Bobcats: The Bobcats are off to a 5-3 start to their year after going 2-1 in the Racers Classic in Lima, Ohio. STU dropped their first match to No. 4 UNOH before winning their next two over Indiana Tech and No. 17 Grace. The top player for STU is Raul Safont Martinez who has played in the number one spot for the Bobcats in each of their matches so far this season.
