Keiser softball dropped an afternoon doubleheader to Florida National. The Seahawks gave up 11 unanswered runs in the first game, and came up just short in extra innings in the second game.

Keiser Seahawks 3, Florida National Conquistadors 11
Pitchers of Record: W: Kulis (2-3) L: Small (1-2)

• Lizzy Small pitched seven innings, and struck out four batters. (110 pitches)

• Lizzy Small hit two doubles.
• Ashley Bullock hit one double to left field.

Keiser got off to a quick start with three runs, but were overwhelmed by the FNU bats and gave up 11 unanswered runs.

• Keiser got on the board first with a Lacee Travens single that scored Macy Schaaf. 
• In the following at-bat, Kelsie Merriman hit a sac-fly that scored Tess McGann.

• Macy Schaaf extended KU's lead with a sac-fly that brought home Ashley Bullock.

Keiser 3, FNU 2

• The Conquistadors got on the board with a 2 RBI single.

Keiser 3, FNU 6

• Florida National tied the game on an RBI fielder's choice.
• In the following at-bat, FNU took the lead with an RBI single that also loaded the bases. 
• The Conquistadors added to their lead with an RBI single, and a bases loaded walk. 

Keiser 3, FNU 11

• After Keiser was unable to score in the fifth and sixth innings, FNU went on a scoring run that began with an RBI single. 
• In the following at-bat, FNU added another RBI single. 
• Two batters later, an error after a dropped third strike allowed three FNU runners to score on the play. 
• Keiser went three-up, three-down in the bottom of the seventh to bring the game to a close.

Records: Keiser (2-4) Florida National (5-6)

• Kelsie Merriman pitched nine full innings, and struck out two batters. (113 pitches)

• Ashley Bullock and Lizzy Small each hit doubles. 
• Small also hit a sac-fly. 
• Madison Manning stole a base.
• Alex Perez went 3-4 with three singles. 

• The Seahawks battled all the way and nearly came away with the win, but left baserunners stranded in the ninth inning.

Keiser 0, FNU 2 

• FNU took the early lead on back-to-back RBI groundouts.  

Keiser 1, FNU 2

• Keiser got on the board when Molly Woerner came home on a passed ball. 

Keiser 2, FNU 2

• Keiser tied the game with a hard hit single to centerfield that brought home Ashley Bullock. 

Keiser 2, FNU 3

• With neither team able to score in the sixth or seventh innings, the game went into extra innings, and the international tie-breaker rule came into effect. (Each inning begins with a runner on second)
• FNU took the lead with an RBI single. 

Keiser 3, FNU 3

• The Seahawks rallied, and after moving a runner to third with a sacrifice bunt, Lizzy Small tied the game with a sac-fly that scored Tess McGann. 

Keiser 3, FNU 4

• Florida National took the lead with an RBI single that scored the runner from second base. 

Keiser 3, FNU 4

• The Seahawks were able to move their runner to third, but couldn't get her across the plate, and the game ended on a flyout to left field. 

• Both KU pitcher tossed 100+ pitches in both games. 
• Ashley Bullock and Tess McGann scored two runs each today. 

Keiser will be back in action this Friday in neutral site contests against Goshen College and Michigan Dearborn.
