Keiser softball dropped an afternoon doubleheader to Florida National. The Seahawks gave up 11 unanswered runs in the first game, and came up just short in extra innings in the second game.

- Lizzy Small pitched seven innings, and struck out four batters. (110 pitches)

Keiser got off to a quick start with three runs, but were overwhelmed by the FNU bats and gave up 11 unanswered runs.

- Florida National tied the game on an RBI fielder's choice.
- In the following at-bat, FNU took the lead with an RBI single that also loaded the bases.
- The Conquistadors added to their lead with an RBI single, and a bases loaded walk.

- After Keiser was unable to score in the fifth and sixth innings, FNU went on a scoring run that began with an RBI single.
- In the following at-bat, FNU added another RBI single.
- Two batters later, an error after a dropped third strike allowed three FNU runners to score on the play.
- Keiser went three-up, three-down in the bottom of the seventh to bring the game to a close.

- Kelsie Merriman pitched nine full innings, and struck out two batters. (113 pitches)
- The Seahawks battled all the way and nearly came away with the win, but left baserunners stranded in the ninth inning.

- FNU took the early lead on back-to-back RBI groundouts.

- Keiser got on the board when Molly Woerner came home on a passed ball.

- Keiser tied the game with a hard hit single to centerfield that brought home Ashley Bullock.

- With neither team able to score in the sixth or seventh innings, the game went into extra innings, and the international tie-breaker rule came into effect. (Each inning begins with a runner on second)
- FNU took the lead with an RBI single.
Keiser 3, FNU 3
- The Seahawks rallied, and after moving a runner to third with a sacrifice bunt, Lizzy Small tied the game with a sac-fly that scored Tess McGann.

- Florida National took the lead with an RBI single that scored the runner from second base.

- The Seahawks were able to move their runner to third, but couldn't get her across the plate, and the game ended on a flyout to left field.

Keiser will be back in action this Friday in neutral site contests against Goshen College and Michigan Dearborn.
