Men's Basketball Ends Season in Loss to Webber International, 75-59

Keiser men's basketball fought to a loss in their final game of the season on Tuesday night in the Sun Conference Quarterfinal. The Seahawks were bested by Webber International in Babson Park, Florida, 75-59.

The Warriors used back-to-back layups from K'Shun Stokes before bringing down two consecutive offensive boards to go up 62-48 with 3:18 left in the game.
 
 
How it Happened


First Half
Webber 33, Keiser 22
  • DaQuan Williams opened the game with a three-pointer before the Warriors ran off nine straight points to hold a 9-3 lead at the 15:23 mark.
  • Core'von Lott came out of the media timeout with a jumper before Webber countered with back-to-back baskets.
  • Brandon Younger got it going from the floor with a couple of free throws and a dunk to go on a 4-0 run of his own and cut the lead down to four.
  • Following a 6-0 run from the Warriors, the Seahawks scored seven straight beginning with a Shaquille Harris three to make it 19-16 with 6:38 left in the first.
  • A 14-4 run from Webber gave the Warriors a 33-20 lead before Justin Tucker hit a jumper going into the half down by 11.
Second Half
Webber 75, Keiser 59
  • Webber started the second half with a 7-4 run to take the 40-26 with just over four minutes gone in the second.
  • A Brandon Farmer three-pointer kicked off a 6-4 run for Keiser cutting the lead down to 44-32 with 13:33 showing.
  • The Warriors continued to get to the free throw line in the second half to go ahead 51-35 with just over ten minutes left to play.
  • Keiser climbed back within 10 with a 10-3 run that brought the score to 54-46 with 5:58 still to play.
  • Webber put the dagger in the game with an 8-3 run that was capped on an offensive possession with three offensive rebounds and ended with a jumper to go up 62-48.
  • The Warriors closed out the game with a 6-of-6 showing from the line to take move on with a 75-59.
