Wrestling Comes Up Short Against St. Thomas, 29-15

Keiser wrestling was bested on Saturday night in Miami Gardens, Fla. by St. Thomas, 29-15. The dual was held outdoors on AutoNation Field.

Down 20-0 after the first four matches, Keiser would get victories in three of the final five matches before taking the forfeit win at 285. Down 6-7 and battling a leg injury going into the third period, Brady Ellison wrestled with heart, earning a reversal before getting four points from nearfall twice in a row to take a decision win. At 174 pounds, August Batson took advantage of a penalty by his opponent, needing just an escape in the second round to take the 2-1 win. No. 17 Nick Woodruff picked up the final win of the night, controlling the match from start to finish for a 6-0 decision at 197 pounds.
