The Keiser men's tennis team continues their fall schedule on Thursday when they travel to Rome, Georgia to play in the ITA Cup. The tournament will run from October 12 through October 15 with singles in the morning and doubles in the afternoon.
When: October 12-15
Where: Rome, Ga. (Rome Tennis Center)
The Seahawks will be back in action when
Soufiane El Mesbahi and
Shaheed Alam make the trip to Rome. Both players earned automatic qualifying spots in doubles while El Mesbahi defeated Alam in singles at the ITA Regional Championships to secure his spot. Alam will be joining El Mesbahi in the singles bracket and is set to face Vaclav Schneider of William Woods in the opening round before a potential matchup with the overall No. 1 Nicolas Cortes. El Mesbahi will not have an easier route on the opposite side of the bracket with an opening-round matchup against the reigning NAIA No. 1 Alex Gurmendi of Georgia Gwinnett. In doubles, the pair of Seahawks will face Felix Veyhle and Max Mueller from Westcliff who come into the tournament as the No. 3 seed.

Director of Tennis
Daniel Finn said, "We're excited to get started tomorrow. This is one of the biggest tournaments in small college tennis and every match will be tough. Every match here will be a battle and we wouldn't have it any other way. Souf and Shaheed have put in the work the past weeks prepping for this event and I have no doubt that they will leave it out there on the courts."
