Volleyball Takes on Florida Memorial at the SLC on Wednesday

The Keiser volleyball team hosts the Florida Memorial Lions on Wednesday, October 25. First serve from the Student Life Center is set for 7:00 PM.

The Seahawks enter Wednesday, riding an eight-match winning streak and are just one game behind Southeastern in the Sun Conference Standings (second place).

  • Slater's 547 kills this season are the fourth most in a season by a Seahawk.
  • Slater is the first NAIA player this season to reach the 500-kill plateau.
  • The product of Las Vegas, Nevada, also leads the nation in points (619.0) and is seveth in points per set (4.31).
  • The native of Las Vegas, Nevada, has moved into fifth-place in career kills at Keiser (962).
  • The Seahawks are first in the NAIA in total kills (1,554), assists (1,457) and is third in total service aces (275).
  • Hannah Heide leads the conference and the nation in assists (1,194).
  • Her 1,194 assists this season are the third most all-time in a single season at Keiser.
  • Heide has now tallied 3,963 career assists - 12 shy of becoming the school's all-time leader (Brooklyn VandeHei - 3,975).
  • Heide is only the second player in Keiser history with 3,000-or-more assists. 
  • Sydney Wattles leads the conference with 84 total blocks. 
  • Wattles is second in the SUN in attack percentage (.343).
  • Wattles and Slater also lead the Sun Conference in services aces (50).
  • Erika Magin entered the year as Keiser's all-time leader in digs and comes into Wednesday's match with 2,075 for her career.
  • Magin became the first player in Keiser volleyball history to reach the 2000-dig plateau.
  • Magin leads the conference in total digs (514) and is second in digs per set (4.05).
  • Her 514 digs are the fifth-most in a season at Keiser.
  • Keiser recorded the clean sweep of the conference awards this week as Slater was named SUN Attacker of the Week, Heide was named SUN Setter of the Week, and Magin was named SUN Defender of the Week.
