Volleyball Continues Road Swing with Wednesday Night Match at Ave Maria

The Keiser volleyball team heads to Ave Maria, Florida, on Wednesday, October 18, to face the Gyrenes in a midweek Sun Conference match. The Seahawks come into Wednesday's match, riding a six-match winning streak after a 3-0 sweep at Warner on Saturday.

The Seahawks hold a half match lead on the Gyrenes in the Sun Conference Standings as Wednesday's match will be a battle for third place in the league.

  • Slater was named this week's SUN Attacker of the Week - the fourth such award for the second-year Seahawks this season.
  • The Seahawks are first in the NAIA in total kills (1,448), assists (1354) and  service aces (263).
  • Hannah Heide leads the conference and the nation in assists (1,105).
  • Heide has now tallied 3,874 career assists - 101 shy of becoming the school's all-time leader (Brooklyn VandeHei - 3,975).
  • Heide is only the second player in Keiser history with 3,000-or-more assists. 
  • The native of Jupiter, Florida, picked up her fourth Sun Conference Setter of the Week honor on Monday.

  • With 45 service aces this season, Erika Magin enters Wednesday action as the school's all-time leader (183). 
  • Magin entered the year as Keiser's all-time leader in digs and comes into Wednesday's match with 2,042 for her career.
