Box Score Keiser men's tennis finished their final day at the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia on Saturday morning. The men went 2-0 in singles play and received a walkover win in doubles.
Soufiane El Mesbahi got the afternoon started with a strong showing in his match against Kyllian Savary of Our Lady of the Lake. El Mesbahi took the first set 6-0 before finishing the match in the second set with a 6-4 showing. On the next court over,
Shaheed Alam got off to a slower start against Jan Slhavy of Lindsey Wilson. After falling 6-3 in the first set, he rallied to a 6-2 win in the second to even the match. Down 3-4 in the third, Alam rattled off three straight games to take the third set and the match. The boys would not be forced to play doubles as the Tennessee Wesleyan team of Nicolas Cortes and Octavio Volpi withdrew.

Director of Tennis
Daniel Finn said, "This wasn't what we wanted to be playing for today, but I was happy with how the boys responded and played despite battling some injuries and more delays throughout the day. All in all, both boys finished top 5/6 in the nation and picked up some quality wins today in the process. Now the boys get some time to rest up and heal up, but it will be quickly back to work to keep pushing towards the spring. The ceiling for this team is extremely high, especially with the addition of Mac as coach. I've already said it, but I'll say it again, I expect great things from this group."
