KU Volleyball Travels to Temple Terrace for Tri-Match with UMFK and Florida College

The Keiser volleyball team will compete in a three team tri-match Thursday, October 12, with a rematch versus the UMFK Bengals and a game against the hosting Florida College Falcons. The Seahawks will take on UMFK at 3:00 PM and will play FC in the following match.

  • Thursday will mark the second meeting between the two programs.
  • Keiser is 6-1 in games versus first-time opponents in 2023.
  • The Seahawks dealt UMFK their first loss of 2023 in a 3-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Sydney Wattles led all Seahawks with 12 kills on a .476 hitting percentage. 
Florida College Series
  • Thursday marks the 21 meeting all-time between the Seahawks and Falcons.
  • Keiser is 9-11 all-time versus FC. 
  • The last meeting between the two team resulted in a 3-0 win for the Seahawks on March 6, 2021.
  • The Seahawks have won six straight against the Falcons, dating back to 2015.
  • The Seahawks are 4-3 versus the Falcons in Temple Terrace, Florida. 
  • The two squads were supposed to face off last year, but the match was canceled due to Hurricane Irma. 
  • Head Coach James Rogers is 4-0 all-time versus FC.

  • Sophomore attacker Brooklynn Slater leads the NAIA in kills (470).
  • Slater's 470 kills this season are the fourth most in a season by a Seahawk.
  • Slater was the first NAIA player this season to reach the 400-kill plateau.
  • The product of Las Vegas, Nevada, also leads the nation in points (534.5) and is seventh in points per set (4.9).
  • The Seahawks are first in the NAIA in total kills (1,323), assists (1238) and  service aces (240).
  • Hannah Heide leads the conference and is second in the nation in assists (1,007).
  • Heide has now tallied 3,776 career assists - 199 shy of becoming the school's all-time leader (Brooklyn VandeHei - 3,975).
  • Heide is only the second player in Keiser history with 3,000-or-more assists. 
  • Sydney Wattles leads the Sun Conference with 45 service aces followed by Erika Magin with 44.
  • Wattles ranks eighth in the nation in services aces while Magin ranks 11th. 
  • Wattles also leads the conference with 76 total blocks. 
  • With 44 service aces this season, Erika Magin enters Saturday's action as the school's all-time leader (182)
  • Magin entered the year as Keiser's all-time leader in digs and comes into Saturday's match with 2,001 for her career.
  • Magin became the first player in Keiser volleyball history to reach the 2000-dig plateau.
  • Magin leads the conference in total digs (440) and is second in digs per set (4.00).
  • Coach Rogers comes into Thursday's match with an overall record of 154-66.
