No. 2 Men's Tennis Sets Sights on Division II, No. 1 Barry on Monday

The No. 2 ranked Keiser University men's tennis team will have a chance for a quick turnaround on Monday when they travel to Division II, No. 1 Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla. at 2:00 p.m.

About the Seahawks
  • Keiser lost their opening match of the season to Division II, No. 3 Saint Leo on Saturday afternoon, 2-5.
  • Martin Carrizo earned his first win in dual play as a Seahawk against the Lions, winning 5-7, 6-3, 10-4 over Luis Iriarte.
  • Soufiane El Mesbahi also got his first win of the new season on court six, making him 10-0 in his career at that position.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "After yesterday, it will be nice to just get back on the court and get back to competing. By no means were we at our sharpest yesterday and we have tried to make some last-minute adjustments. Barry is a very good team year in and year out. Them being the top team in division two makes for another good opportunity for us to see where the gauge of our teams' barometer is at."
